In this episode, we spoke with Sonia Kaurah, Founder & CEO of Tala Thrive. Sonia is an award-winning founder who previously helped over 200 startups raise their first round of capital and is now revolutionising mental health care. She started Tala Thrive in 2023 after finding the process of finding a therapist for herself exhausting and expensive, particularly having to educate them on her cultural background and the specific challenges she faces living in the Western world.1

Sonia is a second-generation Australian of South Asian heritage, with a degree in Psychology and experience in Venture Capital and startup mentorship.2 She believes there should be a more equal and culturally competent approach to therapy.
